Because only one person attended my contest and completed her entry (which I will not display until everyone joins in and complete their entries), I'm extending the deadline to September 4th. Also, due to working on the requests, I have reduced the number of entries to three. Yes, I'm making it very tight unless more than three people tumble on the lineup, because I'm preparing myself for the Fall Term in college by the end of next month.
Now back to the contest, a pretty simple one at that. Before the year's end, I'd like to celebrate my Rayman FC, Faye's third birthday (which I've mentioned in one of the past journals). Even though, I'm still in the middle of getting the requests done, I'll simply do a free art request alongside a poem request (which I haven't done in almost millions of years) as a grand prize.
The contest is to draw one of the Cottonley Glen fairy dolls which inspired the character Faye's creation, whose image is seen right here:
As I have with the current request line seen below, I'll have five slots open for those who'd like to enter. It could be the same people, but let newcomers who newly added me to their watch list enter first. I'll decide the entries for close accuracy of the doll itself, not necessarily the quality. The deadline for the contest will be on Sunday, September 4th. That should give anyone else a chance to join in.
1st: A fully colored commission with a background of choice along with a poem request
2nd: A fully colored bust of an OC, FC or favorite canon character
3rd: A black and white ink sketch accompanied by blue lining pencil
Now then, here are the guidelines and options:
1.) Go to this site: www.darah.com/collection/cotti… You'll then see the Toy Guide which has two sections: the Fairy and Royal Fairy Collection
2.) Search in either collection to find the doll
3.) Depending on your art style, height may not matter. Colors, however, much at least be accurate (with the exception being the eyes, just make a close guess)
4.) Either traditional (any medium like pencils, etc.) or digital, the entry has to be drawnby you.
5.) As applied from above, no using bases or images from doll maker sites like Azalea or DollDivine.
*Option, not a requirement* Add Faye alongside with the doll. There is no need of background here.
Now for the requests update (and still figuring out the time to take photos and upload them:
and (also a art gift for one person who did my request long time ago)
A drawing of Faye's first love and husband, Ori Josiah (another OC of mine), with a bio planned
1.) The pairing of two Rayman OC's, Feros and Gibus, along with a B-Day gift for
2.) The three villains, Dark Lord Haken and his family ***In progress
3.) Rayman and an OC, Lady in the jungle ***In progress
4.) OC Rayxim with lums ***In progress
5.) Stegmutt from Darkwing Duck ***In progress
1.) Request has been changed to drawing the character from Epic Mickey, Gremlin Prescott
After all the requests are completed and eventually uploaded, I will not be taking requests, point commissions or even art trades for a while (the latter might be hanging in the air). I'll decide when to do these depending on my availability or if I get art-block.
